![]() ![]() ![]() Especially if you're gonna write about an immature and inexperienced 17 year old. Could she not have been at least a college senior? There is a big maturity difference in a 17 and a 25 year old. This dude is over a century old and mated to a high schooler. Maybe because I've seen it done well and this felt robotic. There is nothing about this that felt romantic to me. This is the first one where the age gap comes off as creepy. This is gonna contradict my previous view on this age gap thing in YA nooks. I'm not even gonna type more about all of these beautiful men surrounding this very innocent and special high school girl. There are 7 guys introduced in this novel and ALL of them are gorgeous or handsome. ![]() If the book had a different lead I would like it more. Does that make sense? □ My non-young adult mind is not feeling this chick. Sara is also a virgin, never been kissed, never had a real date, supposedly doesnt know anything about guys but has had only male friends since elementary school. Also, this lure makes most females hate her. She has some type of magic that lures all men to her. She is supposed to be completely innocent, but she was the bully in book one. Rant Alert!!! This was better than book one, but still has issues for me. It cant be rated more than a 3 Star due to her. With as much fantasy as I read, this main character is just ridiculous. If I had never read fantasy before I think it would come across better. This is one of those training camp type novels where the heroine gets formally trained with a group of peers who are more advanced. ![]()
